Description:
Many of our customers do not the time, tools or patience to repair their
LCD Screen assemblies and opt for our trained technicians to handle the
repair service. If soldering and repair is not your forte, them we
recommend leaving it to the pros and mailing your LCD Screen assembly
into our repair shop for service.
The Backlight
Repair service includes:
Inspection of all components, installation of new CCFL Backlight or
Backlights, and if necessary replacement of High Voltage Wire Harnesses,
Silicone End Caps, O Rings & Lamp Spacers, and replacement of LCD
Tapes.
(note: Some 17 inch lcd screens uses 2 CCFL Backlights + $10.00 for the
second CCFL Backlight.)
How It Works:
Step 1:
You can mail in just LCD Screen assembly or the entire laptop computer
either way is fine. However we do recommend sending in the complete
laptop when possible as this allows of us the ability to test the
backlight inverter, video relay, and other possible problems that could
cause the backlight failure.
Step 2:
Print the Repair Work Order form fill out all information
and attach a copy to the unit. Click here for the link to the REPAIR

Step 3:
Call us for the Job Number for your repair.
We can be reached
at 517-896-5814 during normal business hours.
Step 4:
Carefully package (Use a sturdy box, no envelopes) with a
minimum of 2 inches of bubble wrap around the unit.

Ship it to our repair facility

Dell Laptop Backlight Problems:
If your Dell laptop screen is Black or Just Dim
this is repairable.
Other types of Dell laptop screen problems include Flickering
or Red Tint (Hue) and in
most cases is caused by a
faulty backlight and will not require the screen to be replaced.

Service Includes: Replacement of the broken power jack. Many repair
shops try to complete the repair by using the existing power jack this
is only a temporary fix and can cause additional problems or in some
cases permanent damage to the motherboard. We replace the broken, loose
or failed power jack to prevent further power problems saving you or
customer additional down time in the future. When replacing the power
jack we use top quality power jacks that meet or excide OEM standards.
Common
causes of power jack failure we
have been replacing power jacks for many years and have seen a lot of
problems. Some laptop computers have poor manufacturing designs and poor
placement of the power jack. Some laptops have power jack problems due
to poor quality control resulting in power jack failure. Not all power
jack problems are a result of manufacturing issues. From time to time we
see power jacks that have been damaged by the end user. This can be
caused from tripping over the power cord, dropping the laptop or just
from normal use.
Symptoms of power jack problems
1.
When you wiggle the power cord or the AC Adapter connector on the back
of the laptop the power LED and
battery charge LED stat to flicker.
2. Battery will not charge in the laptop.
3. Laptop runs fine off a charged battery.
4. With the AC Adapter connected the laptop appears to be dead. No
power LED or battery charge LED
activity.
5. Laptop randomly powers off without any warning.
